ECC PerspECCtives: Are You and Your Organization Futureproof?

Day 2 of the 53^rd annual ECC PerspECCtives conference included a session entitled “Bounce Don’t Splat: Are You and Your Organization Futureproof?“ with an interesting and diverse panel including Natalie Kiser, VP Strategy at KBR, Bonnie Endicott, VP Employee Relations at Zachry Group and MJ Martinez, DCS Leader at Schneider Electric.

Panelists responded to questions from their varied perspectives with Natalie focusing on the Process aspect, Bonnie from the Human angle, and MJ from the Technology perspective. Between these different perspectives, the consensus was that to futureproof your organization, leadership must consider these five points:

1. Communicate – Constantly communicate where we are and where we are going.
2. Openness – Be open and make sure everyone hears the message.
3. Core Value – Identify what is of true value to take it with you to the future.
4. Position – Understand where you fit into the value chain and adapt quickly.
5. Resilience – Create resilience in your people, systems, and support networks.

The 53rd annual ECC PerspECCtives conference was hosted at the Gaylord Texas Resort in Grapevine, Texas with more than 660 attendees.
