ECC Awards presented at 2021 ECC PerspECCtives conference

The Engineering and Construction Contracting (ECC) Association recognized industry award winners at the 53rd annual ECC PerspECCtives conference. Awards highlighted were the Spirit of ECC Award and the ECC Achievement Award. The ECC Awards are given to the most inspirational, exemplary, outstanding industry executives and leaders. Winners must meet a varied list of criteria and are selected by a special committee of distinguished and esteemed industry pioneers. 

Mr. Greg Garland, Chairman and CEO, Phillips 66, was awarded the 2021 ECC Achievement Award. Mr. Garland has 40 yr of industry experience in technical and executive leadership positions within the oil and natural gas and chemicals industries.

The Spirit of ECC Award honors candidates who display an exemplary demonstration of a wide array of talents, skills and passions that encapsulate the ECC’s mission. The 2021 annual award was presented to The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Industrial Craft Competition. The Industrial Craft Competition is an annual contest where participating high schools are judged on completing a spec-built project that is then judged by regional experts from the petrochemical industry. The Industrial Craft Competition further supports the Rodeo’s dedication to supporting Texas youth and education.

The 53rd annual ECC PerspECCtives conference was hosted at the Gaylord Texas Resort in Grapevine, Texas. More than 660 attendees from more than 300 different companies, 35 U.S. states and four countries gathered for the annual event.
