High willingness to invest at Valve World Expo 2018

The positive developments in the valves and fitting sector were reflected at the current staging of VALVE WORLD EXPO 2018, 11th International Valve Trade Fair & Conference, in Düsseldorf, Germany: 650 exhibitors from 40 countries showcased their latest technologies, components and systems for industrial valves, fittings and pumps on 193,750 square feet to 11,800 visitors from 86 nations. Around 75% of all visitors came from outside Germany, again demonstrating the high internationality of the event.

The innovative high-tech solutions presented at VALVE WORLD EXPO 2018 were primarily aimed at specialists from the following industries: oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemicals, food, marine and offshore, water and waste management, automotive, mechanical engineering,  pharmaceuticals, medical engineering and powerplant engineering. Overall, 70% of the attendees were executives and decision-makers.

The visitors – mostly users, manufacturers and distributors of valves and fittings – awarded top marks to the trade fair. They were primarily interested in valves and fittings (78%), followed by actuators and positioners (42%), parts and components of valves and fittings (40%) and compressors (7%). Also, around 20% of visitors were interested in pump manufacturers.

Wolfram N. Diener, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf, was also very pleased with the event: “From the meter-sized valve for the chemical industry and a wide variety of ball valves for the oil and gas sectors to the smallest valves available, this leading global trade fair in Düsseldorf  once again covered the entire range of industrial valves and fittings.” He is looking forward to 2019 when VALVE WORLD EXPO will be held in China and the U.S.

The exhibits were complemented by the international Valve World Conference, this time located within one of the halls for a close integration between theory and practice.  Organized by KCI Publishing from the Netherlands, the conference offered lively exchange of ideas between the 400 conference delegates and the exhibitors. The seminars, workshops and presentations focused on trendsetting topics regarding the selection of materials, the latest processes and technologies in valve manufacturing as well as new forms of energy.

VALVE WORLD EXPO 2018 again confirmed its status as an international platform to meet new customers, develop existing business contacts, strengthen the international sales network and increase export opportunities.

VALVE WORLD AMERICAS EXPO and CONFERENCE will take place on June 19 and 20, 2019 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX.
