ECC '17: Doing more with less - a roadmap to capital efficiency
The Engineering Construction Conference (ECC) Association is holding its 49th annual event in Boca Raton, Florida, from 12–15 December. The 2017 theme is "Doing more with less: A roadmap to capital efficiency."
Developing and predictably delivering successful capital projects is crucial for all stakeholders. Owners, contractors, and suppliers must collaborate and innovate to ensure that safety, productivity, and quality objectives are met, while facing increased pressure to do more with less. To address this challenge, prominent leaders will provide fresh perspectives at ECC on industry best practices, technology implementation, global economics and geopolitics.
A highlight of the 2017 ECC are keynote speakers with a global perspective:
- General Colin Powell, US (Ret.)
- Liam Mallon, President, ExxonMobil Development Co.
- Rich Karlgaard, Editor of Forbes
- Todd Buchholz, Former White House Economic Policy Director and Economist.
ECC features panel sessions, each with a moderator, and experienced leaders as panelists:
- An executive perspective on capital project delivery
- Resilient project techniques for boom/bust cycles—What have we learned from the last boom/bust cycle, and how can we work better in the next boom?
- Closing the knowledge gap between academia and industry.
During the event, ECC offers ten breakout forums:
- Sadara: When mega goes giga
