SimSci’s 2016 Process Industries Business Excellence conference Day Two
This year’s SimSci “Process Industries Business Excellence” conference has broadened beyond just SimSci software to illustrate application of other Schneider Electric software. A key focus they heard from clients is the need for increased reliability and efficiency of existing assets and a desire to streamline the engineering cycle.
Ravi Gopinath, EVP for Schneider Electric Software, framed their long-range vision of global scale and strength that was enabled as SimSci was acquired by Invensys and then by Schneider-Electric. They are globally scaled with 10 R&D centers, 24 delivery centers, and a technology ecosystem of 160 partners. Strategically, Schneider Electric is focused on technology differentiation, industry orientation and addressing market shifts.
Customer imperatives are reflected in six portfolio areas:
- Engineering
- Operations control
- Operations planning & scheduling
- Operations management
- Asset management
- Information management
Schneider Electric are committed to connecting current performance monitoring to optimization and asset solutions, as well as current price and supply chain drivers.
