I hope HP readers found useful the dialog in the October 2006 "Letters to the Editor"1 among three experienced Purdue University process control chemical engineers, Dr. Y. Zak Friedman, Dr. Gregory D. Martin and myself, about "Solomon Associates' (SA) advanced process control survey" (HP, June 2006).2 If so, they may find this rebuttal profitable.
