Purposeful specifications I found "HPIn Reliability" (Dec. 2002, p. 13) of personal interest. I thought what H. P. Bloch said was timely, important and worth repeating until the industry finally wakes up. His examples point out much of what is being done wrong, which is, in my opinion, mainly caused by the lack of in-depth thought and follow through by a knowledgeable individual. However, there may be a little management ignorance at work too. Please keep up your crusade to enlighten people that the basics still work best.   Vern Maddox
